The second part of the basic work for compound shooting expands on the topics covered in the first volume and introduces mental training methods for tournament shooting.
Do volumes I and II build on each other logically? Both volumes build on each other, but with a few overlaps where necessary. Volume II expands on some of the topics covered in Volume I at beginner level. Volume I is definitely not enough if you want to dedicate yourself to tournament shooting. The mental training methods that are absolutely necessary for this are only discussed in Volume II.
Do you have to have read Volume I to understand Volume II? It depends on your level of knowledge: Volume I is intended for beginners and as a simple reference work for advanced users. If you are already advanced and just want to deepen your knowledge, you should take Volume II straight away; Volume I won’t be of much interest to you – unless, as I said, you want to look up a few basics again. A beginner or intermediate will probably be overwhelmed by Volume II alone.
