With the Blackcat, Barnett has once again developed an easy-to-handle classic recurve crossbow. It has a dry-fire safety that prevents the crossbow from being fired when no bolt is inserted and blocks the trigger, while the finger guard prevents accidental gripping in the string barrel.
The Blackcat has a draw length of 12″ and a draw weight of 195 lbs, achieving arrow speeds of up to 260 fps. The scope of delivery includes an illuminated red dot sight, two aluminum bolts with field points, a mounting quiver and a lightweight, side-mounted quick-mount sight.
The Blackcat has an all-black finish and is identical in construction to the Wildcat in camouflage finish.
